Can You O D On Zopiclone

SINS OF ALMA THE PAY THE BODY. COPYRIGHT

Alejandro Montoya, Judith challenging, graphite on paper.

Viscera, muscles, blood, fluids, bones and fat in the center that governs us. There is no mystery, we are perishable matter that is given to passions, vices and virtues. Dismember little point in this container does not show sign of divine influence. This puzzle is no oracular nature: the birth of a child with two heads announced agreements with rival nations, eaten the enemy gives up strength and sacrifice virgins bring fertility to the land. For Cicero: "These miracles are nothing extraordinary."

Alejandro Montoya, graphite and ink on paper, 2008

In the group exhibition at the Museum Meat mixed Archbishop's vision and serious offending with other superficial and complacent the fate of our nature. Start with three pieces that slice up the value, beauty and merciless to this miserable condition: a wooden sculpture of Reynaldo Velazquez, with two penises, two hands and two entwined torsos, soft wood, carved with romantic obsession, the oil Arturo Rivera, Wound: A young woman looks at us with anger, was opened in stomach with a glass holding hands, raised red chop and bleeding is less cruel than those eyes with no shame for the pain, and Daniel Lezama, Tree Color, a large painting: an indigenous family naked, in a ritual anointing of the body color of a midwife, a belly to be about to throw a no name and no past, a tree has lights hanging from the branches with the same muddy color pigments in the bodies of the tribe, this agony occurs in the presence of Lezama naked floating intruder.

Within the conservatorship is chaotic halls. On the one hand the work of Alejandro Montoya, an artist of exceptional talent, with a chilling observation skills, which reproduces the impurity of putrefaction with delight and derision, draw sacrificed rats in traps, dismembered, winged infants, which swell and deform without having lived and a beautiful assassin, Judith, inviting and smooth ass. But without clear reason come into the scene the works of Sergio Garval. It is a pleasure Garval painting, with its wacky characters from dumpsters and cars useless, aimless, lost, is an opportunity to see even without a thread a grip in this exhibition. Gustavo Monroy's self-portraits, with the technique of Orthodox icons, his severed head in the desert, eaten by ants that enter wounds and ears, another with the word LOT carved on the forehead with a knife, in the layers painting shows the depth of the stroke that gets, it cuts. Sacred Food Arturo Rivera, the head of a rabbit is bleeding on a plate and fingerprints of the artist printed on the blood splatter.

Arturo Rivera, Meat / Injury, oil on canvas.

These works "dialogue" with pictures literally, falsely staged dramatic and little virtuosity in the use of photoshop : women with fetuses in the womb, fetuses in jars, photomontages bodies. The picture is stunning when it is pretentious prude and easy because evidence that the photographer will want to impress, then an eye betrays unintelligent and without courage. These photos are naive and there are plenty to see from the paintings, drawings and sculptures in this exhibition. Let alone paragraph of art object, which is ready-made: two skulls with gold teeth, repetition, dubbing, no arguments, if a joke was not enough, here are two. In the inclusion of unnecessary objects are parts Natural History Museum: small skeletons, more fetuses, which do not provide a vision, because there is an artistic recreation and interpretation. It is interesting to see a fetus, it is interesting to see that an artist does with that presence. For human remains in formaldehyde are anatomy books, what we want is art, not physiology.

The curator must assume that as revealing and risky work such as Rivera, Montoya, Monroy, Jet, Velázquez, Garval Lezama and plenty of skulls surround or superficial platitudes. This excess was used to compare and to verify that not only the body dies, also what is not art dies, decays and stinks.
